Being a good neighbour can be the best home improvement you can make

Many people have problems with their neighbours which can have a detrimental effect when making home improvements. Large home improvements such as extensions, new windows or a conservatory can create temporary mess or disruption which can at times encroach on a neighbour. They can at times be a little noisy, cause a little dust and irritate neighbours which you do not get on with anyway.

By having a good relationship with your neighbours it can make the experience of home improvements a lot easier and more pleasant. You then have a little more leeway to ask for favours or to explain what is going on. If projects run late or are delayed it can make it a lot easier to apologise to your neighbours and they are likely to understand.

Approaching neighbours which you do not get on with can be a little embarrassing and very awkward so making peace before you start any home improvements can make the experience a lot nicer. Complaints in some estates can halt any work being done and cause a great deal of stress so make friends with your neighbours for an easier life.
