You should always avoid cleaning the wooden flooring with water or with any cleaning products which are water based as this can actually cause premature rotting and decay, instead use wax.

To wax your floor simply dip a clean cloth into the wax pot and apply to the wood, pay special attention to areas which often have a lot of foot traffic as they can become a lot dirtier. It is recommended that you pop a little mat at your front door to encourage people to wipe their feet as they enter your home as although you do not want a home which is not easy to love in, you do want it to look its best.
