Do we really have a clue what we are talking about?

Many people like to think that they are educated about being Eco friendly and going green however experts are now suggesting that many of us do not have a clue. Recent research has found that a lot of people will take bottles to the bottle bank, will switch off appliances when they leave a room and will install double glazed windows however are not really sure why. Many people do not understand the theory behind doing such things and therefore often have to consult professionals for advice otherwise they just try their best.

Research has shown from a credible survey that many people actually believed that making a glass bottle requires less energy than that of an aluminium can which is completely false. Glass in fact takes up a large amount of energy to make and also to recycle therefore despite popular belief it is more Eco friendly to use aluminium cans. Many experts are encouraging people to not use glass bottles at all in order to help be a little more Eco friendly. It is important to try to understand what constitutes being Eco friendly as this will help to avoid false learning and stop bad habits.
